Becoming Uncaged
My journey is not unlike so many others—it is layered, complex, and deeply personal. To share the full story in one sitting would be a lot, so I’ll save that for my book. Instead, this newsletter is designed to break it all down into bite-sized pieces—pieces I hope will help you heal.
To sum it up quickly, so you know what to expect, I created the Uncaged Woman platform for women who are ready to fully step into life.
Many of these women have spent years prioritizing others—experiencing loss, grief, and self-sacrifice. Now, they are ready for their turn, their season.
I went from living with my parents to having roommates, to becoming a wife, and then a mother. I had my first daughter at 22, then twins at 34. From 22 to 52, I was raising four girls. When my nest emptied at 52, my mom fell ill, and I became a nearly full-time caregiver, helping my dad. After she passed, I took care of him for six more years until he passed at 92—just a few months ago.
Now, for the first time, I find myself designing my own life. What will this season bring? What do I truly want to do, create, become? It’s both exhilarating and profound, and this is what Uncaged Woman is all about—being free to choose, to evolve, to become.
It’s our turn. To be Bold, Authentic, and Free.
But to step into this freedom, we often need to heal. The wounds of our past—the heartbreak, grief, and trauma—can keep us from moving forward. Our hearts need to feel safe and whole in order to pursue our dreams and step into the highest version of ourselves.
And that is what this is all about. Healing hearts.
My mission is to change the world, one heart at a time.
And I believe that change begins with healing.
Thank you for being on this journey with me. As your guide, I promise to walk beside you.
We all need mentors, coaches, and guides—someone who has walked through the fire and come out on the other side. Someone who understands the pain, the anguish, and the hope that lives within each of us. Someone who knows how to lead the way forward.
I hope to be that for you.
Let the journey begin.
