The Love of God
We Can Only Experience God’s Love to the Extent That We Love Ourselves
We are spiritual beings having a human experience—which means we are infinite spirit, manifested in physical form for this lifetime (and many others).
If God is Source, Love, and Spirit, and we are a part of that Spirit embodied, then the depth of our connection to God is up to us. Yes, it is up to us.
God is always present, always loving, always encompassing everything that is and is not in the universe. But in our human experience, free will allows us to perceive separation. Perceive is the key word here.
There is no true separation from God. Only the mind can create that illusion.
Our thoughts create separation.
Our Source is unity.
We are all one—formed from the same divine Source—yet individual in that we are each having a unique human experience.
The only way to feel separate from God is to turn our minds away—to see God as something outside of us, rather than within us.
But God is not distant. God is you, made manifest in human form. Just as God is the tree, the squirrel, the flower, the butterfly. We are Spirit experiencing itself.
When we buy into the illusion of separation, we surrender our power. We place control outside of ourselves, believing in a higher force that grants favor to some and denies it to others.
But this is not how it works.
Yes, God—Source—is a higher power because Source is everything and nothing, all at once. And yet, the small portion of Spirit that manifests as you is still part of that greater Whole.
You are both the drop and the ocean.
So when I say that you can only experience God’s love to the extent that you love yourself, I mean this:
God’s love is constant, unchanging, and infinite.
It is always within you, surrounding you, filling every cell of your being. When you remove the mental barriers that say otherwise, you naturally return to love—because love is your truest nature.
You are love.
There is nothing to seek. Only something to remember.
Loving yourself as God loves you is what allows you to feel that love fully.
Like turning on a faucet, when you open to love, you experience the fullness of God’s presence. You are not separate.
We are one.
The same infinite love that exists for all of creation is yours—the moment you let go of anything that tells you otherwise.
Open the floodgates. Receive.
Nothing brings God greater joy than love experiencing love.
And no one can stop this flow—except you.
No one outside of you has the power to change what you are. Align yourself with those who see the truth. Surround yourself with those who are committed to breaking free from illusion. Teach others by being love.
When we feel most broken and alone is often when we surrender.
And in surrender, we stop resisting. We let life—our divine essence—take the wheel.
We give up the struggle, and we are set free.
Free to return to the power and love that has been within us since the beginning.
The life force that is infinite and made manifest in you.
You are unique—an individualized expression of the Whole.
And when this brief human experience ends, you will return to Source—both as your unique consciousness and as part of the infinite Whole.
If you seek love, turn inward.
Love yourself.
God’s love is there, waiting. Always.
